{{ Sorry for the delay, issues with lack of sleep and a stubborn old computer held things up }}
In the half-light of dawn the snow around Loss was painted a gentle hue, a light tint of diluted violet dashed over the accumulated flakes and behind the Wolf lay a trail of prints. She thought of her prints as marks on her life, each one telling where she'd been before disappearing as her memory had a while before.
She wandered on in the lonely land, bracing herself against the awakening cold and watching the skies slowly changing their colours. Among the sparse clouds lay a thin white sliver of the morning's moon, disappearing into the rising sun though the temperature stayed the same. Through Loss' mind ran strands of her new life, slowly drowning away in a sea of pitch black where her memories once were. She had taken to the snowy lands as she felt connected to them, drawn to the emptiness and cold that she felt herself.
Nearby, she noticed another set of tracks, catching her attention as they stood against the white. The scent on them had been weakened by the falling snow but there were still traces of the presence of another Wolf. There in the distance was the figure, the tracks to the silhouette against the early morning sky. With not a second thought, she started to follow the prints and the scent that strengthened in small increments along her way.
